Born January 8, 1989, Ryan didn’t grow up plotting a five-year plan. After high school, he stood at the familiar crossroads of not knowing. The hair industry found him before he found it. Or maybe it was the other way around. Who knows.

What started as uncertainty turned into instinct. Seventeen years deep,  graduating from hair school in 2009 and building a career that now stretches into 2026,  Ryan has carved out a space defined less by noise and more by nuance. An introvert who learned to flex the social muscle, he doesn’t perform for the chair,  he connects in it. He prefers his clients how he prefers his energy. More calm, grounded, unforced.

For Ryan, hair is an artistic outlet disguised as a service. A canvas that moves. He’s known for a kick-ass blowout, the kind with body, intention, and quiet drama. He loves painting in dimension so seamless it reads like the sun did it itself. Something that is natural, sunkissed, and never screaming for attention.

But the craft isn’t just technical. It’s emotional. He wants clients to walk in new and leave newer. He wants them to feel heard and understood. The consultation matters. The listening matters. The pause before the first section matters.
There’s care behind the cool.

Outside the salon, his world orbits around his dogs, Millie and Carl. They are both his pups and besties. And now, after nearly two decades refining his eye, Ryan is curious again. Not about reinvention, but expansion. Teaching. Sharing the quiet details. Passing on the discipline behind the softness.
JP STUDIOS is lucky to have an artist like Ryan, give him a big welcome when you see him next time!

Ryan works WED, THURS, AND SAT.

A career spanning over three decades, Allison Burr has established herself as a master stylist, educator, and industry innovator. Her journey began in 1996 at Vidal Sassoon, where she transitioned from a successful career in advertising to pursue her passion for hairdressing. Training extensively in London, she honed her skills under the rigorous Sassoon methodology before launching her career as a professional stylist at Vidal Sassoon’s Chicago salon.

In 2002, New York City called, and Allison took her expertise to Vidal Sassoon’s prestigious 5th Avenue salon. There, she not only worked behind the chair but also mentored emerging talent and took the stage at IBS, American Beauty Shows, and the Wella Studio in Rockefeller Center, solidifying her role as both a stylist and an educator.

Her career took an exciting turn in 2005 when she joined the renowned Arrojo Studio in SoHo. It was here that Allison’s signature styling gained widespread recognition, attracting an elite clientele and industry attention. Her talent soon landed her television appearances on “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and TLC’s “What Not to Wear”, bringing her expertise to a national audience.

By 2008, Allison was ready to forge her own path. She founded MINT, a cutting-edge salon in Manhattan’s Garment District, where her reputation for precision cutting and effortless styling flourished. Her expertise earned her a coveted spot backstage at New York Fashion Week, styling for Diesel, Alexander Plokhov, NUMBER: Lab, Marc Jacobs, and Marc by Marc Jacobs. She also contributed her artistry to The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and The Fashion Institute of Technology’s runway presentations.

Beyond the runway, Allison’s client list includes some of the most recognized names in fashion, entertainment, and media, including Giuliana Rancic, Anna Wintour, Selita Ebanks, Coco Rocha, Grace Potter, and Jenna Bush.

In 2012, Allison returned to the Midwest, bringing her expertise to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she launched ABURR—a brand that extends beyond hairdressing to include editorial styling, runway work, and salon consultation services.

Her passion for education led her to join Wella Professionals as a Brand Educator in 2015, where she continues to inspire the next generation of stylists. In 2019, Allison got her Master Color Expert from Wella Professionals.

She ascribes to the “less is more” philosophy, believing that a carefully executed cut and color requires minimal styling, meaning less fuss and longer-lasting looks for her clients.

Allison works TUES, WED, and THURS.
